PANEL: NON-BINARY YOUTH IN CINEMA

At the most recent SCMS (Society for Cinema and Media Studies) conference, Andrew Scahill and his co-chair Michele Meek led a panel of renowned scholars in the subject of trans- and non-binary youth in cinema. Dr. Scahill presented a work-in-progress concerning the Belgian film Ma Vie en Rose (1997), and his fellow panelists examined various representations in mainstream and independent American cinema, as well as an look at Japanese experimental cinema of the 1960s and 70s.
